It all began years ago when I became sick. I dealt with chronic pain every day. I went from Doctor to Doctor trying to find the reason for all my symptoms, the year 1995.

 

It was Fibromyalgia. 

 

Fibromyalgia syndrome is a common and chronic disorder characterized by widespread pain, diffuse tenderness, and a number of other symptoms. The word “fibromyalgia” comes from the Latin term for fibrous tissue (fibro) and the Greek ones for muscle (my) and pain (algia).

Although fibromyalgia is often considered an arthritis-related condition, it is not truly a form of arthritis (a disease of the joints) because it does not cause inflammation or damage to the joints, muscles, or other tissues. Like arthritis, however, fibromyalgia can cause significant pain and fatigue, and it can interfere with a person’s ability to carry on daily activities. Also like arthritis, fibromyalgia is considered a rheumatic condition, a medical condition that impairs the joints and/or soft tissues and causes chronic pain.

 

Ok, so now that I knew what it was? My 2nd journey began.

 

It was tuff; doctors did not really know how to treat it. Some even said I was nuts and the pain was all in my head. I had to quit working and I had worked since I was 15 years old. Off and on I tried to work but there was no point. I could not be dependable. 

 

 So as the years went by I learned to cope. Oh' I had bad days and then some really bad days and I still do.

But life goes on.....

 

  I forged on and began looking for other ways to spend my days and nights. I got a computer in 1998 and started drawing in paint.

After a year or so folks took notice of my paintings and encouraged me to get some guidance.

So I found a man online who was a retired Advertising Artist who helped me critic my skills.
